Tucker University: Corner Pop

The purpose of this class is to perfect the skill of creating units with folded corners.  This is a very basic and typical technique that can be found in a variety of patterns.  The pattern designer assumes that quilters cut with exact precision and stitch with exact precision.  So when that small square gets folded over, every thing will match perfectly.  Well, most of us could use a little wiggle room.  Deb Tucker has provided us with that wiggle room in the form of the Corner Pop Tool.  Quilters will save fabric and be happier with their final product when they use the Corner Pop Tool.

Fabric Requirements-

Approximately (2) strips of fabric that measure no less than 3 1/4".  For best results, these strips should read as a solid and be in strong contrast to your pre-class units as specified below.

(4) 4 1/2" squares of fabric
(4) 4 1/2" half square triangles
Units of your choice that have a cut size of 4 1/2" or in the case of a flying goose the cut size would be 4 1/2"x2 1/2".  For example, you may elect to construct (4) 4 1/2" quarter square triangle units, or (4) 4 1/2" Corner Beam Units.
