Free Motion Quilting with Julia

Learn how to succeed at free motion quilting on your home machine with Julia Barton!

Julia will guide you through selection of the proper needles and thread all the way to your finished project. She will cover how to baste your quilt, set up your machine, and manage the bulk of the quilt for free motion fun.

Julia will also cover different methods of achieving your desired patterns and discuss how best to get the looks you’ll love.

Master these fundamentals to make beautiful projects 100% from start to finish.

You will need to bring your home machine with a hopping foot (NOT a Walking foot) or BSR and approximately 2 yards fabric (1 yard top, 1 yard back) and 1yd batting for practice. Julia will discuss how to sandwich them. You will need to know how to drop your feed dogs and change your foot pressure (bring your user's manual).
