Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles Class

Kimberbell Clear Blue Tiles are a complete system for quilting using your home embroidery machine. The stitching goes through all three layers of a quilt sandwich (back fabric, batting, and top fabric), with traditional, continuous quilting on both sides of your project. Plus, you can quilt borders and cornerstones using the tiles. In this class, you will bring a small pieced project of your choosing, (table topper, placemats or a small wall hanging) and we will walk you through the steps to achieve the look of custom quilting on your project.

For this class, bring a small item that you have that needs quilting. This could be placemats, a table topper or runner, or a wall hanging.  Please no project larger than 30"x30". If you do not have something that needs quilted, bring a piece of fabric at least the size of a fat quarter (18 inches by 22 inches). Press the item and make sure all seams are pressed flat. Please bring a thread that coordinates with your project.

Cut the batting and backing fabric for the item 4 inches larger on all 4 sides. Use a thin or lightweight batting. (please do not use Mountain Mist or Polyfil batting, your tensions may not work correctly with those battings) Do not baste your layers together, that will be done in class.

Please label all your clear blue tiles, book, and USB with your name.

Lunch is not included with Class.  You will have a break to either leave to get something or you may pack.  We have a full service kitchen.
