Cuddle Up with Bernina + Shannon Fabrics
This hands-on, two-day workshop is designed for sewists of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned pros, who want to explore the soft, luxurious world of Shannon Fabrics Cuddle® fabric while completing projects utilizing the BERNINA L8 Series
Serger.
Participants will start by learning the essentials of working with Cuddle® fabric, including tips for handling, cutting, and sewing this specialty fabric.
On Day 1, attendees will receive an introduction to the BERNINA L8 Series Serger, gaining confidence in its setup, threading, and customization for different projects. Day 1 wraps up with a hands-on project —a cozy infinity scarf —perfect for practicing foundational techniques.
On Day 2, attendees will dive into creating two stunning projects: a simple knife-edge pillow and a luxurious lap blanket. Each project is designed to teach practical skills like combining fabrics and working with curves—all while producing beautiful, functional items to take home.
Whether you’re new to sewing or looking to expand your expertise, this workshop offers an inspiring, supportive environment to learn, create, and have fun with Cuddle® fabric. Pre-cut kits, detailed guides, and professional tools make the experience seamless and enjoyable for everyone.
